Done (almost).

On HGTV they have these Pros come in, remodel a kitchen and BAM! Everything is perfect, everything is done right up to placing the fruit in a basket. In come the homeowners and the new kitchen is unveiled. Yeah, that’s not real life folks. Our kitchen is done but not quite complete. A backsplash behind the stove is still being created in my head. We have an empty wall that looks fine but maybe it needs something, another shelf maybe?

Well, with that being said, I present to you our new kitchen. I love it. I really do. Anyone that has been following this journey knows the “issues” we have had with our Ikea cabinets. As I thought, in the end all is forgotten, I LOVE these cabinets!! The functionality is awesome. I wouldn’t get any other cabinets (unless I wanted to pay a boatload for custom cabinets). Cooking on a gas stove and using a convection oven is a dream. And the coffee bar is the perfect addition to our home.
